We ran IRL Series here for four years and had some really exciting events. Unfortunately, the spectator response was not what we had hoped for. We have had conversations about returning Indy Cars here, 

but at this time we have no definite plans. I think the IRL people will tell you that their schedule has about as many events on it as they want to run and that they are not looking to run any new events. But you never want to close the door to the potential that the Indy Cars could be back at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The other thing to bear in mind with Indy Cars is that when the IRL Series and Champ Car merged, it meant fewer oval tracks on the schedule than you had a few years ago. So given that, the odds of them adding another oval track would not be as likely now as it would have been four years ago.

As a company, Speedway Motorsports Inc. is no stranger to the Indy Cars - two of our sister tracks, Texas and Infineon are currently on the IRL schedule. But at this time, there are no definite plans to stage an Indy Car race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
