The arrival of Memorial Day weekend may as well be the start of summer, with it giving away to the summer month of June. It's all a reminder for us here at Atlanta Motor Speedway that when the holiday weekend on the back end of the summer arrives, it'll be time for NASCAR Night Racing's return to Atlanta Motor Speedway! The closer a race weekend inches towards us on the calendar, the more the energy builds around Atlanta Motor Speedway as we meticulously put plans into place to provide our fans and guests with as great of an experience as possible when they are with us in September.

Hello, race fans! This is Atlanta Motor Speedway President and General Manager Ed Clark! The summertime is getting closer here at the Speedway, which means that in just a few short months, it’ll be time for NASCAR  Night Racing’s return to Atlanta Motor Speedway. Everyone here at Atlanta Motor Speedway is busy these days as we’re all making preparations to welcome all of our fans for the Biggest Labor Day Party in the USA! Without question, night racing is a huge part of what we do at Atlanta Motor Speedway. When the lights come on Labor Day Weekend, a special feeling falls over our facility of more than 800 acres.

It's not hard these days to get excited about night racing's return to Atlanta Motor Speedway. With one quick look at all that has happened during the past two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, there has been no shortage of excitement, both on and off the track. That excitement is largely fueled by one thing - night racing. One of the things that separates night racing from races run during the daytime is the potential for hot tempers among drivers. We've seen it the past two races, first with Ryan Newman and Juan Pablo Montoya and now with Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch. In each instance, we've had moments of high emotion which have given fans plenty to talk about.
