The long wait is getting close to an end. We're now within a month of one of the most exciting events of the NASCAR season, the AdvoCare 500 NASCAR night race weekend of Atlanta Motor Speedway!
If you've ever been here for a race, you know that racing isn't something you can fully experience by sitting at home. To truly immerse yourself into NASCAR, you have to be there at the track for yourself!
Here are five things to make sure that you experience on Labor Day Weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Coca-Cola food items
They're back! Make sure you find your way to the Taste of Georgia concession stand, located near section 129 of the Earnhardt grandstand, for foods made with Coca-Cola products!
The items are:
Fried Donut Holes- Fresh deep fried donut holes glazed with a sauce made from Coca-Cola. Served over sweet peaches and topped with whip cream and maraschino cherries.
Brisket Tacos - Pork braised in Coke Zero and topped with chipotle aioli sauce, fresh lettuce, cilantro vinaigrette and fried tortilla strips alongside fresh lime wedges
Bratwursts and caramelized onions: this bratwurst is served topped with smoked gouda cheese, crisp bacon and a BBQ sauce made with Coke Coca-Cola combining sweet, smoky and salty flavors.
Pulled Pork Sandwich: pork braised in Cherry Coca-Cola served on a soft onion roll, smothered in BBQ sauce made with Coca-Cola and topped with a zucchini pickle and TABASCO fried onions.
Chicken Wings– A mix of sweet and spicy, these chicken wings are covered with a fiery sauce made with Coca-Cola. The wings are served with rich blue cheese and celery sticks.
A few of us at Atlanta Motor Speedway had a chance to sample these items recently. Trust us, you won't be disappointed in these food offerings!
There's only one way to wake up in the morning and see Atlanta Motor Speedway. That's by camping at the track on Labor Day Weekend! Whether you are camping in the infield, on the trackside terrace or outside the track, the campgrounds are a special place! For many of our fans, their fellow campers may as well be family as each race weekend they share good times, stories and of course, delicious tailgating food!
Before 500 miles of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series night racing, you can get an up-close glimpse at the drivers and a concert with country music star Billy Currington! A pre-race party pass provides access to the Fast Cars & Guitars Pre-Race Concert Presented by Bad Boy Buggies which will be followed by AdvoCare 500 driver introductions! You'll be so close that drivers might be able to hear you cheering them on, and you'll even be close enough to see the smaller logos on the driver firesuits! Bring a camera, because this is about the closest you can get to an exciting concert and driver introductions!
Located behind the Earnhardt grandstand, this is the epicenter of fan activities leading up to the race! Here, you can get an up-close glimpse drivers during driver appearances, stop by the fan stage for entertainment and driver Q&A sessions, catch a live broadcast at the Fox Sports stage and have fun at a variety of interactive displays. Past interactive displays have included Sprint, AdvoCare, Coca-Cola, Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips, Honda, Great Clips and Chevrolet.
The anticipation has almost ended. The National Anthem is over and the command to start the engines has been issued. You are moments away from the green flag dropping and 43 cars flying past you in the grandstands like a high-powered freight train. And that's just the first lap! There's only one way to experience what it feels like when the green flag drops at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and that is by being here in person!
