For many veterans of attending races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, there's a list a things to avoid doing on race weekend at AMS. For instance, many fans tend to try and avoid things like leaving their tickets to the race at home, misplacing their sunscreen, forgetting their scanner headphones or not bringing enough food to the campsite.

But for the AdvoCare 500 Labor Day NASCAR Night Race Weekend, there's one thing fans can now do that they have not been able to in past years at Atlanta Motor Speedway - wear shorts on pit road!

Here at Atlanta Motor Speedway, we are pleased to be able to announce a relaxed dress code for our fans on pit road. That means that when you're on pit road with a pre-race pit pass, you may now wear shorts, open-toed shoes, sleeveless shirts and skirts and/or dresses throughout race weekend!

Think about major sporting events you may have been to recently. It's not likely that you were able to walk on the field or court within hours of a much-anticipated event. But you can do that at Atlanta Motor Speedway with a pre-race pit pass. You are right in the midst of the action as the AdvoCare 500 closens, with cars being rolled from the garage out toward the starting grid while pit crews feverishly prepare their respective pit stalls for 500 miles of night racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

You can be in the pit area until an hour before the start of each race on Labor Day Weekend. Pit passes are $125 for race weekend of $100 for Sunday only. You can purchase them here.

We look forward to seeing you on Labor Day Weekend!
