Atlanta Motor Speedway will again offer a limited number of $125 pre-race pit passes that fans can purchase for the Oct. 26 Georgia 500 Winston Cup race. ¿The one thing fans just clamor for is more access to these behind-the-scenes areas, such as pit road,¿ said Ed Clark, president and general manager of Atlanta Motor Speedway. ¿That¿s why we¿ve decided to open up a limited number of tickets for these fans, so that they can experience the excitement of being on pit road the morning of the race. Believe me, it¿s something you won¿t forget - the air is just electric.¿ For just $125, fans will have the chance to be inside the highly coveted pit area, in the heart of the racing activity. Pre-race pit passes are good for Sunday morning until 45 minutes prior to event time. As an added bonus, fans will also be allowed in the pit area for a limited time on Saturday morning. Fans must be at least 14 years old to be admitted into the pit area. Pre-race pit passes are not good for gate admittance and must be accompanied by a grandstand ticket. Tickets for all three days of racing excitement during the Oct. 24-26 Georgia 500 weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway are on sale now. The weekend kicks off with Georgia-Pacific Qualifying Night on Friday, Oct. 24, as the fastest qualifying session in NASCAR goes under the lights. Adding to the evening¿s lineup will once again be the exciting Goody¿s Dash Series, which will take to the track immediately after qualifying for a 150-lap shootout on the frontstretch quarter-mile track, Thunder Ring. The action heats up on Saturday, Oct. 25, for the Aaron¿s 312 Busch Series race, showcasing the hottest up-and-coming drivers in the country. As always, the weekend will culminate on Sunday, Oct. 26, with the running of the Georgia 500 Winston Cup race, one of the final events of the season, when every point will be at a premium.
