It¿s Friday, Oct. 24, at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The sun is down, the stadium lights are blazing, and the brightly painted cars of NASCAR Winston Cup racing are lined up on pit road as crews thrash to make last-minute changes. Forty-three of the best drivers in the world walk by, waving to the crowds and mentally preparing for the thrilling qualifying runs they are about to make under the cloak of night. And now you can be right there, watching the excitement from the best vantage point in racing ¿ the pits.
For the first time, Atlanta Motor Speedway will offer a limited number of Friday-only pre-race pit passes for just $50 when purchased in conjunction with a Georgia-Pacific Qualifying Night ticket.
For just $50, fans will have the chance to be inside the highly coveted pit area, in the heart of the racing activity. Pre-race pit passes are good Friday until just prior to the Goody¿s Dash event, which will take place on the frontstretch quarter-mile track, Thunder Ring. Pre-race pit passes are not good for gate admittance and must be accompanied by a grandstand ticket.
Tickets for all three days of racing excitement during the Oct. 24-26 Georgia 500 weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway are on sale now. The weekend kicks off with lightning-fast Georgia-Pacific Qualifying Night and the bang-up excitement of the 150-lap Goody¿s Dash Series race.
The action heats up on Saturday, Oct. 25, for the Aaron¿s 312 Busch Series race, showcasing the hottest up-and-coming drivers in the country. As always, the weekend will culminate on Sunday, Oct. 26, with the running of the Georgia 500 Winston Cup race, one of the final events of the season, when every point will be at a premium.
