Fans who attend Thursday Thunder series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2003 will have the chance to take home more than fast-paced memories of the nights¿ events. The Redi.net Dash 4 Cash will give one lucky fan the chance to drive away with $50 each night of Thursday Thunder. At every Thursday Thunder event, held Thursdays June 5 through Aug. 7, fans can register at the information booth for a bevy of prizes. One name will be drawn each week to participate in the Redi.net Dash 4 Cash. That lucky fan will automatically win $50. Plus, the fan will select a finishing position for the first race following intermission. The driver who finishes in that position will also pocket $50. In addition, fans can win a ticket package for two to the Oct. 24-26 Georgia 500 weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Each package contains a pair of tickets to Georgia-Pacific Qualifying Night, the Aaron¿s 312 and the Georgia 500. Other great prizes include a Richard Petty Driving Experience gift certificate, a Legends car Ride & Drive and AMS track tours. With tickets priced at just $5 for adults, $1 for children 6 to 12 and free for kids under 6, Thursday Thunder has been heralded as one of the most fun and affordable family activities in Atlanta each summer. Each of the 10 Thursday night programs will include a full program of Legends Car, Thunder Roadster and Bandolero racing, along with an entertaining special attraction and a Celebrity Grudge Match. Tickets for Thursday Thunder are available in advance at the speedway ticket office and at Gate 13 the night of the event. Parking is free. Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. with preliminary action beginning immediately. Feature racing begins at 7 p.m. and concludes by 10:30 p.m. Call (770) 946-4211 for information or visit www.legendsofga.com or www.atlantamotorspeedway.com. PAPA JOHN¿S VICTORY LANE: Racing can take a lot out of a driver, but with the help of Papa John¿s, Atlanta Motor Speedway will make sure none of its 2003 winners go home hungry. Papa John¿s will sponsor the 2003 Thursday Thunder Victory Lane, where each race winner will receive a free pizza in addition to the purse and trophy. GATE GIVE-AWAYS: Week 1 of Thursday Thunder will see the first 500 fans through the gate receive a free seat cushion, courtesy of Tanger Outlet Mall. Throughout the summer, hundreds of other items will be given away, including hats, can coolers and posters. The first 1,500 fans each night will receive a free Thursday Thunder program. RACING LIMO: At 25 feet long, the Racing Limo Showcar is the longest Pontiac Grand Prix in the world, and race fans will get a chance to take an up-close-and-personal look at it when it stops by the Atlanta Motor Speedway concourse on June 5. The car features a complete race trim package with hood and tail pins, window net and even a rear spoiler with adjusters.
