Having already tested his No. 99 Superchips Ford F-150 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in early October of ¿03, Carl Edwards returned to the track to open testing for the 2004 season. His return, however, was in the No. 17 Busch car for Reiser Enterprises.

Edwards, who finished 8th in the 2003 Craftsman Truck Series Standings and was named Rookie of the Year, was helping Reiser Enterprises along with Roush Racing in the testing session. Although the test was a Busch car, Edwards still planned on trying to garner additional information for the EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200 truck race on March 13th.

¿Our focus is on winning the truck championship with Roush this season,¿ Edwards said. ¿I was just available for the test and I could get an opportunity to drive a Busch car in the future so its good experience either way.¿
