Ted Musgrave returned Tuesday for his second day of a two-day test at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he continued to search for the right combination for this No. 1 Mopar Dodge. Musgrave finished eighth in the March 13 EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200 but left Atlanta very displeased with his truck. Before continuing with the rest of the 2004 schedule, Musgrave wanted to return to Atlanta to figure out where his team went wrong. ¿All the changes made to the trucks in the offseason really made our notes pretty obsolete,¿ Musgrave said. ¿We needed to start over and get a good baseline, and Atlanta¿s a great place to do that, because you can get a good overall feel, a good aero feel - it¿s a great test track.¿ Musgrave continued to find more speed during Tuesday¿s test, turning a lap of 176.504 mph (31.41 seconds) around the high-banked 1.54-mile track in the morning hours. Musgrave tested both his own truck and the truck of his teammate, Andy Houston.
