A Letter To Fans From President Ed Clark
Wednesday, September 1, 2004
Have you ever dreamed of taking your family car around the high banks of Atlanta Motor Speedway? How about running around the fastest track in NASCAR?
Once a year Atlanta Motor Speedway gives you a chance to do just that, holding an all-access bash known as the Atlanta Motor Speedway Open House. You¿ll gain unprecedented access to the garage and infield areas of Atlanta Motor Speedway during the Open House, giving you a chance to see the areas where your favorite drivers will set up to run the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 and even have your picture taken in Victory Lane.
You'll also be able to drive your own car around the track with our Drive The Track promotion, or run around the track if you sign up for the Pacemaker 5000, a 5K race to benefit Cardiac Services at Henry Medical Center.
The third annual Atlanta Motor Speedway Open House will be held Sept. 25, 2004, from 3-7 p.m.
In addition to one-day ticket specials and souvenir blowout sales, there will be plenty of giveaways, driver appearances and special offers to keep you busy until track rides begin at 6 p.m.
During the once-a-year Drive the Track event, each car has a chance to make two laps behind an official Atlanta Motor Speedway pace car. If you¿re interested in driving the track, you should purchase your Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 tickets at the open house, and your laps will be free with your purchase. If you have already purchased tickets for the Oct. 29-31 Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 Weekend, simply make a $30 donation to the Speedway Children¿s Charities to get your laps.
To sign up for the Pacemaker 5000, visit their website at www.pacemaker5k.org
or call (678) 289-7900.
For more information on the Sept. 25 Atlanta Motor Speedway Open house, call (770) 946-4211. We hope to see you all there!
