Speedway Children's Charities Auction To Feature Authentic Racing Memoribilia

Looking for a piece of racing sheet metal? A driver¿s helmet replica? A beautiful print by renowned racing artist Sam Bass?
All of this and more will be on the block next Saturday, Oct. 30, during the Speedway Children¿s Charities live memorabilia auction, which will begin immediately following the Crown Royal IROC season finale at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The auction is free to the public and will be held in the East Turn hospitality village.
The live auction is sponsored by the National Rifle Association, and all proceeds benefit local children¿s organizations through the Atlanta Motor Speedway chapter of Speedway Children¿s Charities.
The Speedway Children¿s Charities 2004 ¿Racing for Kids¿ giveaway will wrap up the year at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with winning tickets being drawn in victory lane by the winner of the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500.
The grand prize is a custom race-themed 2004 American Ironhorse Stalker Motorcycle provided by Bikers Dream of Atlanta and American Classic Cycles of Birmingham & Dothan, Ala. Second prize is a 2005 Coachmen Speedway Edition Travel Trailer donated by Mid-State RV Center of Byron, Ga.
Tickets for the motorcycle and the travel trailer will be available at the Speedway Children¿s Charities trailer, located in souvenir row in front of the Champions Grandstand. Tickets will be available up to the start of the Oct. 31 Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500.
EARNHARDT TO APPEAR AT BASS PRO SHOPS: Kerry Earnhardt, the oldest son of the late Dale Earnhardt, will be at the Discover Mills Bass Pro Shops location next Wednesday, Oct. 27, to sign autographs for fans.
Earnhardt will be in town for the weekend¿s Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500, where he will pilot his No. 33 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet around the fast 1.54-mile track.
Earnhardt will be signing autographs from 6-8 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops.
Truex Jr. in Cup at Atlanta: Martin Truex Jr. will make his NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series debut in the Oct. 31 Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Currently leading the NASCAR Busch Series standings as a rookie, Truex Jr. will be carrying some very familiar colors on his car. Bass Pro Shops has been the primary sponsor for 18 Busch Series races for Truex Jr. and the Chance 2 team this season.
GIBSON TO COMPETE IN AARON¿S 312: Mark Gibson, winner of the 2003 ARCA race at Atlanta, will return to his home track for the Oct. 30 Aaron¿s 312.
Gibson will team with Atlanta-based Williams Bros. Lumber Company and TC Motorsports for the upcoming Busch Series race, and will be using DEI engines.
¿I¿ve always enjoyed running at Atlanta ¿ it is home for us,¿ Gibson said. ¿It¿s also home to sponsor Williams Bros. Lumber and TC Motorsports. We haven¿t run here since our win last spring and didn¿t have the opportunity to test. I¿ll definitely be relying on past race experience to get around the track.¿
