RaceTown Atlanta Set to Invade Downtown Atlanta

RaceTown Atlanta, a three-day festival in Centennial Olympic Park celebrating the world of motor sports, is almost ready to open its gates for the inaugural event.
A free event to the public, RaceTown Atlanta will run this Thurday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. each day. It will be the perfect lead-in to the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
RaceTown Atlanta will provide great entertainment for all ages including NASCAR showcars and simulators, interactive games and prizes and appearances by Nextel Cup drivers. There will also be three nights of live music featuring Pat Green, Tracy Lawrence, Collective Soul and Styx. Special concert access will be only $5.
Drivers scheduled to sign autographs include NASCAR legend Richard Petty, Kyle Petty, Jeff Green and former driver Benny Parsons.
For the festival, Centennial Park will be divided into ¿zones¿, including the a kids¿ zone from Georgia-Pacific, which will feature a mini race track for kids to take the checkered flag, live appearances by Scooby Doo, face painters and balloon artists, and a rock climbing wall. Georgia-Pacific will offer its free products including Dixie Cup sampling and a variety of snacks.

EARNHARDT AUTOGRAPH SIGNING UPDATE: NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Kerry Earnhardt will be at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. for an autograph session and photo opportunity.
The eldest son of seven-time NASCAR Champion Dale Earnhardt, Kerry will be competing in the Oct. 31 Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
