Ryan Newman won his fourth straight pole position at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday during Georgia-Pacific Qualifying Night. Newman blazed around the 1.54-mile quad-oval in 28.939 seconds (191.575 mph) to take his record-setting pole. No other driver has ever won four straight pole positions at Atlanta. Starting outside the front row for Sunday's Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 is "Front Row Joe" Nemechek, who circled the speedway in 28.978 seconds (191.318 mph). Elliott Sadler, Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle round out the top 5.
