Representatives of the
Wal-Mart will giving away a total of $31,000 to 29 local charities during Tuesday¿s private ceremony, which will also allow new associates and their families a sneak preview of the new store.
Wal-Mart will be donating the money to local charities as part of its community involvement program, which supports local communities and nonprofit organizations with financial contributions and volunteer-organized fundraisers.

Speedway Children¿s Charities works year-round to raise money for local children¿s organizations through special charity auctions, raffles, receptions and donations from race fans. Last year, SCC distributed more than $178,000 to19 local children¿s charities.
