It's just seven days until the cars and stars of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup series invade the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 race weekend and a limited number of seats are still available.

On Friday, October 28, the NEXTEL Cup Series will hit the pavement for the fastest qualifying session of the year during Georgia-Pacific Qualifying night. Immediately following qualifying, the best Legends car drivers from across the southeast will take on the quarter-mile Thunder Ring, one of the most challenging quarter-mile tracks in the United States. The all-star Legends drivers will battle for a $15,000 purse in the 50-lap Papa John's Invitational Legends race.

October 29 is another day full of exciting, door-to-door racing. The Crown Royal International Race of Champions season finale starts the doubleheader, with $1 million awarded to the 2005 champion. Following the Crown Royal IROC race, the toughest trucks on the planet will battle the high banks of Atlanta Motor Speedway in the EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200.

The weekend will culminate as the biggest names in racing battle on Sunday, October 30, for 500 miles in the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 NEXTEL Cup race. Like the truck races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the NEXTEL Cup series has a history of incredible finishes. Just last March, Carl Edwards held off a hard-charging Jimmie Johnson to claim his first Cup series victory by a mere .028 seconds.

In addition to the unbelievable racing on the track, fans will enjoy an improved Atlanta Motor Speedway. From shuttle stops and wide sidewalks totally encompassing the speedway to the new Bruton Smith Parkway; don't miss your opportunity to be a part of the new Atlanta Motor Speedway.

A limited number of seats are still available in the Champions and Earnhardt Grandstands, as well as the East Turn and Weaver Grandstands.
