Atlanta Motor Speedway's newest advertisement campaign for the Golden Corral 500 race weekend launched this week in select markets around the southeast. The 30-second spots, titled "National Sport of the South," focus on NASCAR's national prominence and its southern roots.

The idea for the new advertisements spun from research conducted at AMS during past races. The new creative further builds speedway's branding campaign, Real Racing, Real Fast. Real Racing includes people from all backgrounds enjoying and attending NASCAR events, the commercials depict six people from different professions in rural settings expressing their love for NASCAR.

"Our new creative work portrays the everyday personalities of our race fans," said Ed Clark, president and general manager of Atlanta Motor Speedway. "NASCAR is unique in that our fans come from every imaginable background, all coming together for a three day weekend to watch the most competitive form of motorsports in the world and be themselves."

The television spots, which will show in more than 10 states, have already begun running in select markets around the southeast and will start running in the Atlanta market the week of February 20.

Accompanying the TV ads will be 60-second radio spots that started Wednesday, February 15 in Daytona, Beach Fla. The radio spots follow the same campaign as the TV commercials and launches next week in the Atlanta market as well.
