Atlanta Motor Speedway officials announced today that John Deere, the world's leading manufacturer of agricultural, consumer and commercial turf care and forestry equipment, will sponsor the speedway's Friday night March 17 Craftsman Truck Series race.
The race, which will be held during the March 17-19 Golden Corral 500 weekend, will be officially known as the John Deere 200. Starting at approximately 9:15 p.m., the John Deere 200 will immediately follow Georgia Power NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series qualifying.
"With the intensity of the first three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, fans have been treated to exciting finishes each race," said Ed Clark, president and general manager of Atlanta Motor Speedway. "Fans can expect nothing less than the same for the John Deere 200."
