Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue, Rep. Mike Barnes and Sen. John Douglas hosted the fourth annual Atlanta Motor Speedway Day Thursday on the front steps of the Georgia State Capitol building.

Along with Atlanta Motor Speedway President and General Manager Ed Clark, NASCAR drivers Jeff Burton, Reed Sorenson, John Andretti and Bill Lester attended the rally to support the strong racing tradition in Atlanta.

Gov. Perdue presented the drivers with a Resolution before giving them a behind-the-scenes tour of the Governor's office and House and Senate Chambers.

At the end of the event, Gov. Perdue was treated to a tire-smoking burnout on Mitchell Street, compliments of Atlanta native Sorenson.
