The fourth season of Winter Flurry opened tonight at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Winter Flurry season will encompass six events at AMS including tonight's event plus races held on December 1, January 6, January 20, February 3 and the final event during the Atlanta 500 race weekend on March 16-18. The Roadster feature began with Ed Clark on the pole. Justin Stauffer was on Clark's rear bumper lap after lap; however he was unable to pass Clark for the win. Mason Massey led the field to the green flag for the Bandit feature. On lap eight, Scott Hensley muscled his way by Massey to take over the top spot. Massey challenged again for the lead during the closing laps, but Hensley held on to claim the win. Trey Maughan was out front for the start of the combined Young Guns / Outlaw feature. Maughan and Blake Eden were the class of the field for the Outlaw and Young Guns divisions respectively, leading the bulk of the laps and scoring the win in their division. In the Semi-Pro feature, Kyle Lowry paced the field for the start. On lap one, Bill Fulson jumped out front. Lowry stayed on Fulson's bumper, but was unable to get by him. Fulson captured the win, leading every lap of the race. Zac Kittle was the pole sitter for the Chargers feature. On lap five, Kittle's car came to a stop and brought out the caution. Austin Hill inherited the lead when the race resumed and held on to log the win. The Masters feature began with Ed Clark on the pole. On lap two, Dwight Pilgram took over the top spot. Randy Thornton worked his way to the front and held off a hard-charging Brian Weimer for the win. The Pro class brought the event to a close with Casey Roderick on the point. Roderick pulled away from the field, led every lap to capture the win. Atlanta Motor Speedway's Winter Flurry returns on December 1 for a full night of Legends, Bandolero and Roadster racing.
