Speedway Children's Charities Atlanta Chapter to Host 'Festival of Suites'

The Atlanta Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will host the Second Annual "Festival of Suites" on Friday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature emcees, Dallas McCade of Eagle 106.7 FM and NASCAR personality Dan Elliott.
Event guests will have the opportunity to visit participating suites, bid on a selection of unique auction items and sample foods from a variety of cuisines. This event offers each guest an opportunity to watch Georgia Power Qualifying Night as well the American Commercial Lines 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race from a luxury suite. Last year's event was a huge success and tickets are expected be a hot item this year. This event offers fans an opportunity to join us for a fun-filled evening and a chance to meet some of NASCAR's top drivers.

Speedway Children's Charities was founded in 1984 by O. Bruton Smith, chairman of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. and Sonic Automotive, who wanted to give back to the community. Speedway Children's Charities provides funds to charities that meet the direct need of children. From mentoring programs to camps for special-need children, SCC best affects children's lives by supporting organizations that work tirelessly to see that children's needs are met and that no child is left behind regardless of illness, social environment or disability.
The Atlanta Chapter of SCC distributed more than $212,000 to 22 local charities during its annual Christmas Celebration in December 2006.
