Thursday, February 8, 2007
Atlanta Motor Speedway will once again offer a limited number of $125 pre-race pit passes that fans can purchase for the March 16-18 Kobalt Tools 500 NEXTEL Cup race weekend.
"There is something magical about being on pit road, the heart of all activity for race weekend," said Ed Clark, president and general manager of Atlanta Motor Speedway. "We want our fans to be able to experience the thrill of being right there. Believe me, it's something they won't forget; the air is just electric."
For just $125, fans will have the chance to be inside the highly coveted pit area, in the center of the racing activity for the entire weekend. Weekend pre-race pit passes are valid Friday through Saturday morning until one-hour prior to the Nicorette 300 Busch Series race, and again on Sunday morning until one-hour prior to the Kobalt Tools 500.
Friday-only pit passes will also be available for just $75, allowing fans into the pit area for all of the day's action, including practice and Georgia Power Qualifying Night for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.
Fans must be at least 14-years-old and wear appropriate attire to be admitted into the pit area. Pre-race pit passes are not good for gate admittance and must be accompanied by a grandstand ticket for each day.
