Brunswick Stew, the famous Southern tomato-based stew made with a variety of chicken, pork, corn, butter beans and more, is being introduced for the first time at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Levy Restaurants Executive Chef Lamar Nolden has created his own delicious signature recipe for the track.
To celebrate the addition of Brunswick Stew to the menu at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Levy Restaurants is holding a contest to find and recognize the best of the best Brunswick Stew in the Atlanta area. Local Brunswick Stew experts are encouraged to submit their recipes to Levy Restaurants, and five finalists will be selected to make their stew on the afternoon of Friday, March 7 at Atlanta Motor Speedway as racing weekend officially kicks off.
Finalists' stew will be judged on the infield of the track by Levy Restaurants Executive Chef Lamar Nolden, Atlanta Motor Speedway President Ed Clark, and additional judges to be determined. The winner will receive an official Atlanta Motor Speedway/Levy Restaurants chef coat and two Club One seat tickets for the Kobalt Tools 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race on Sunday, March 9. Club One is the most upscale public suite of AMS, with theatre-style seating in a refined setting, including a "Sight and Sound" rooftop viewing deck. The pair of Club One Sunday passes is worth an estimated value of $1,190.
