Gearing up for the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, tickets are now on sale for the March 8 Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The Kobalt Tools 500, the fourth date in the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule, should prove to be a critical race, as NASCAR's top drivers will be vying to capture early season points towards their season championship push. In addition, the race will hold a special significance for Atlanta Motor Speedway, as the 2009 Kobalt Tools 500 marks the track's 100th NASCAR Sprint Cup race and 50th year of operation.
"Looking ahead to the Kobalt Tools 500, we know this is going to be a special event for Atlanta Motor Speedway," said Ed Clark, president and general manager of AMS. "Atlanta Motor Speedway has a tremendous history and tradition, founded in the track's place as one of the first true NASCAR superspeedways. With our remarkable list of former winners, drivers will be putting forth a tremendous effort to capture our 100th NASCAR Sprint Cup winner's trophy."
With March's Kobalt Tools 500 race date sitting just more four months away, Atlanta Motor Speedway has already introduced a number of ticket specials for the event. Ticket prices for the event start at just $19 for a student ticket or $39 for an adult ticket located in the Elliott Grandstand.
