A pair of Pro competitors made their way to the finals and jumped past the division points leader at Atlanta Motor Speedway's seventh week of Friday Night Drags, allowing them to gain the points advantage entering the second half of the season.

With points leader Matt Mayber absent, Eddie Chapman and David Sisk matched up in the Pro class finale for a sprint to the finish with a direct impact on the division points standings. Entering the Pro class finals, Chapman sat in second among Pros by trailing Mayber by one point (10-to-nine), while Sisk sat just one-point behind Chapman in third with eight.

Sisk roared to the finish first by utilizing a tremendous jump from the start. With the win, Sisk garnered three points and jumped past Mayber for first with 11 points. But, by virtue of his second-place finish, Chapman claimed two points to sit tied with Sisk for first among Pros.

With just seven weeks of points racing remaining, the Pro class now sits in a near dead heat and the season's end should feature a spectacular points race among Pros. Chapman and Sisk each hold 11 points, while Mayber has 10.

Points will be awarded each night during the 13-week points season in every class except the Domestic, Truck and Sport Compact classes. Each division winner will take home three points, second-place two points and the rest of the participants will be awarded one point. The competitor with the most points at the end of the season wins the championship title on September 11. In the event of a tie, the competitor with the most wins will be awarded the title.
