Labor Day weekend and top-notch grilling go hand-in-hand. And that's why the Big Green Egg is the official smoker and grill of Atlanta Motor Speedway for the track's first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series night race on Labor Day weekend, the Pep Boys Auto 500 on Sept. 6.
Partnering with Atlanta Motor Speedway to celebrate Labor Day weekend night racing in Atlanta, race fans and grilling enthusiasts alike will find Big Green Egg grilling demonstrations in the Family Campground on Sunday, Sept. 6 at noon and an exhibit in the Display Lot on race weekend.
"For many people, cooking out with friends and family is one of the highlights of race weekend. NASCAR fans love tailgating and Big Green Egg owners are fanatical about grilling," said Jodi Burson, Big Green Egg marketing manager. "This is a perfect partnership that brings together two very passionate groups, and the food will be incredible!"
The Big Green Egg Company's grilling demonstration will feature celebrity chefs, including a demonstration by Dr. BBQ, Ray Lampe. Featured in numerous publications and on television programs, Lampe has written four books on grilling and is the Executive Chef at Southern Hospitality, a New York City BBQ establishment. Lampe is also a featured BBQ Chef at the Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia.
Headquartered in Tucker, Ga., the Big Green Egg Company manufactures the World's Best Smoker and Grill, a unique barbecue product that can be used as a grill, smoker or oven. For more information or to find a retailer near you, please visit www.biggreenegg.com.
