Atlanta Motor Speedway and the Henry County Chamber of Commerce have partnered to commission a T-shirt to welcome race fans to Henry County for the upcoming Pep Boys Auto 500 on Labor Day weekend.
Emblazed with three images of Atlanta Motor Speedway and the phrase "Henry County Welcomes Race Fans" on the front, the T-shirt is available at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce to local businesses and citizens in an effort to welcome race fans attending the Sept. 5-6 event weekend. The T-shirt also reads "First Time Under the Lights" to celebrate Atlanta Motor Speedway's first full weekend of NASCAR night racing and features the AMS and Henry County Chamber of Commerce logos on the rear.
"I often talk about how proud we are to be the home of Atlanta Motor Speedway and two NASCAR races each year. Henry County is rolling out the red carpet for NASCAR fans," said Kay Pippin, president of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. "Atlanta Motor Speedway isn't just a great revenue source and tourism location, but is also a great corporate neighbor in our community. We wanted to create this shirt to showcase Atlanta Motor Speedway, the inaugural Sprint Cup night race, and also show our enthusiasm for the event."
The Henry County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging local businesses to wear the T-shirts during the week of the Sept. 6 Pep Boys Auto 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Businesses wanting to obtain "Henry County Welcomes Race Fans" T-shirts can contact the Henry County Chamber of Commerce at (770) 957-5786. The Chamber Office is located at 1709 Highway 20 W in McDonough.
