Super pro competitor Michael Ramsey of Canton has contended for final-round victories on multiple occasions throughout the season. Last Friday, however, he earned his first final-round points win of the summer, topping Stockbridge's Bobby Daniel.
Ramsey's win cut Daniel's lead in the super pro standings to one point with two points events remaining in the season. Daniel still leads all drivers in the division with three wins behind the wheel of a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
"I had it turned up full notch, it was all it had. He's got a great car, it feels good to have a win," Ramsey said. "It was a great time to have a good run."
The super pro division is just one of many divisions featuring tight points battles with two points events remaining in the 2013 season on the pit lane drag strip.
