One of the most heralded vehicles from the era of moonshine runners will be celebrated at Atlanta Motor Speedway's Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama April 18 and 19 of 2015. Next year will mark the 75th anniversary of the 1940 Ford, a vehicle long associated with the era of moonshiners.

During Motorama, a special display area will be set aside for individuals entering 1940 Fords in the car show portion of Georgia's largest motoring festival. Entrants will receive special awards and a commemorative gift.

Participants can register their vehicle for Motorama at this link.

In its second year, Motorama is a massive celebration of anything with a motor in it. At last year's inaugural event, more than 1,000 cars were on display, including rare vehicles such as vehicles from Truett Cathy's private collection and a Duesenburg. Other activities included a midway comprising of more than 200 vendors, lawnmower racing and car-crushing demonstrations by BIGFOOT® presented by Summit Racing Equipment.

Motorama spectator admission is $12 per day. Kids ages 6 through 11 will be admitted for $5, with kids 5 and under being admitted free. For Motorama event information, contact the Atlanta Motor Speedway Ticket Office at (770) 946-4211, (877) 9-AMS-TIX or visit www.atlantamotorspeedway.com.
