Local NASCAR fans will once again come to the aid of the American Red Cross to help meet Georgia's daily need of more than 1,200 blood donations during the Drive For Life Blood Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 21 in the Atlanta Motor Speedway infield Media Center.
Each donating fan will receive a pace car ride around Atlanta Motor Speedway's full 1.54-mile, quad-oval track until sundown and a commemorative t-shirt, plus the opportunity to win a number of great prizes. Prizes will include the chance to win a ticket package for two to Atlanta Motor Speedway's 2011 Labor Day NASCAR night racing weekend and pre-race pit passes, a $1,000 gas gift card or a free round of golf at a participating Robert Trent Jones Course.
Fans can pre-register for the event, which will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., by visiting www.GiveLife.org and search for "Atlanta Motor Speedway."
The drive will take place in the Atlanta Motor Speedway Media Center, located on the track's infield. Fans are advised to enter the infield through the Infield Tunnel located on Speedway Boulevard.
