The thrill of drag racing returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday night with the first of two O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine Fall Stampede events with bragging rights taking center stage for all entrants. Both races will be non-points events with first-place trophies being at stake for all final-round winners at the end of the night.

The Fall Stampede will mark the final time for competitors to race this year at Atlanta Motor Speedway and will also be the last chance for local racing enthusiasts to witness the fun and excitement of one of the country's most successful street drag racing series.

Notable drivers for fans to watch during Fall Stampede include Gary Thomas of McDonough in a 1974 Chevrolet Nova, Hampton's Jason Kinard in a 1997 Chevrolet S-10 and McDonough's David Harbin in a 1967 Chevrolet Nova. Each of the three drivers won their respective division titles this season at Drags with Kinard capturing the Street Outlaw title, Kinard in Domestic Advanced and Harbin in Pro.

Other 2014 division points champions of note at O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags include Arnie Cobb of Locust Grove in a 1974 Chevrolet Nova in the Jailhouse Brewing Company Super Pro division, Terry and Bonnie Queen of Jonesboro in a 1994 Dodge Dakota in the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman division and Kane Shavers of Griffin in Street Modified behind the wheel of a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Whether a driver has competed multiple times this season at Atlanta Motor Speedway or they have not drag raced before, any individual age 18 or older can enter their car to drag race at O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine. All drivers must have a DOT-approved helmet in order to race, and all vehicles will be placed in respective divisions by series officials upon arrival. Drag racing practice begins at 6:15 p.m.
