Friday Night Drags first-ever FastLife Friday event featured celebrity drag racing with Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and hip-hop star Yung Joc, who also performed a concert at Atlanta Motor Speedway, in addition to 15 classes of drag racing and the Show-N-Shine car show.
Kim Zolciak of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" won the celebrity racing portion of the first-of-three 2010 FastLife Fridays at Friday Night Drags. Friday's action included more than 300 drag racers, 100 Show-N-Shine car show entries and a crowd exceeding 5,000, the third-largest crowd in Friday Night Drags' history.
In addition to the celebrity entertainment, Friday Night Drags fifth week saw new competitors claim victory in the series' top-two classes, as John Bonner (Hampton) and Mike Weaver (Griffin) won in their first points race of 2010 in the Super Pro and Pro classes respectively.
Four competitors successfully defended their week four wins in Friday Night Drags second-points week and now hold noteworthy points leads in their classes with eight marks. These repeat winners include: Stephen Fulton (Jonesboro) in the Truck class; Jason Lowery (Williamson) in the Motorcycle division; Chuck Poole (Stockbridge) in the Truck Advanced grouping; and Jason Thomas (Stockbridge) among the Street Outlaws.

Atlanta Motor Speedway's Friday Night Drags resumes on June 18 for week six and Ride-Along Night, where fans can ride along with drag competitors in lower divisions. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and nightly drag race eliminations start after 9:00 p.m.
Entry to drag race or for the Show N' Shine is just $20 or competitors can purchase a combo ticket for $30 to enter both. Spectator tickets at Friday Night Drags are just $7 for adults and children under six are free. More information can be found atwww.atlantamotorspeedway.com.
