Think about the top major sporting events each year. When things like the Super Bowl or Final Four come to mind, the competition within the sporting arena is the main focus. But when it comes to the event, the attraction is so much more than the contest itself. It’s the atmosphere around events like this that create unforgettable experiences.
It’s that very same thing, an atmosphere of fun and excitement that makes Labor Day Weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway the Biggest Labor Day Party in the USA!
Sure, three nights of NASCAR racing on one of racing’s fastest tracks are a large part of what we have going on, but the weekend is so much more than that!
With more than 800 acres, there are no shortage of activities to take part in on Labor Day Weekend. Do you love the sense of community, fun, food and good times of camping? Well, we’ve got you covered with spaces available in a variety of campgrounds, for either tent, pop-up or RV units!
Speaking of food, there are few things that will ignite your appetite more than a walk around the parking lots and campgrounds during race weekend with the aroma of food filling the air. While some fans opt to pick up their allotment of meals on the way to the track, others use race weekend as a way to jump-start their grills and cookers, coming up with their own unique ways to prepare and cook various meats, vegetables, snacks and many other appetizing offerings!
Venture a little bit closer to the track, and you’ll find the driver souvenir trailers, where fans flock to throughout the weekend in search of their favorite driver’s diecast car, cap, T-shirt or other apparel.
But race weekend is also about fan interaction. And we’re excited to offer an Atlanta-sized helping of it to our fans in the Fan Zone area, located behind the Earnhardt Grandstand on the track’s frontstretch. Here, fans can find interactive sponsor displays, food and beverage samplings, participate in fun activities such as wall climbing at the U.S. Army display and see live broadcasts of SPEED programming at the SPEED stage. If it’s entertainment outside the racetrack that you are seeking, you’re in the right place! You can see driver Q&A sessions and appearances by Miss Sprint Cup, as well as have the opportunity to participate in other interactive activities at the Sprint Experience.
And don’t forget about the Fan Stage! The Fan Stage was one of the most popular gathering places last September, with appearances by NASCAR legend Rex White, iconic broadcaster Ken Squier and musical appearances by acts such as Colt Ford and Drivin’ N’ Cryin!’ We’re currently assembling an eye-popping line-up for this year’s fan stage schedule!
Labor Day Weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway isn’t just a race. It’s an American-blooded, racing-infused experience that you cannot afford to miss!
