For the first time in its memorable history, the Georgia State Fair will take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway this year with 10 days of fun for the whole family, Oct. 26-Nov. 4.Over 50 midway rides, a petting zoo with animal displays, an aerialist act, a motorcycle stunt show, the Lady Houdini Escape Artist and comedian and juggler Alex Zerbe will all be part of the activities and shows for attendees to take in during the fair’s stay at AMS.

In addition to those traditional fair activities, there will be several concerts throughout the duration of the fair. More acts will be forthcoming, but currently the following acts are scheduled to appear: Rare Earth on Friday, Oct. 26, Starship on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Dustin Lynch on Sunday, Oct. 28.

All shows and musical acts are included in the very-affordable admission price of $7 for adults, $5 for children ages five to 11 and children four and under free. For rides, tickets start at $1 per ticket, or all-day wristbands can be purchased for $20.

The fair will operate on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to midnight, Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Oct. 26-27 will also feature the Legends Asphalt Nationals at AMS, where the best Legends car drivers from across the country will battle on the speedway’s quarter-mile short track to determine the national champion in each division. Families can take in racing plus the fair all in one location during the fair’s opening weekend.

Friday’s grandstand gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and admission is just $5 for adults with kids seven and under free. Friday admission will be free to those who purchase a Saturday grandstand ticket. The gates will open at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday with adults admitted for $10 with kids seven and under free. Fair attendees can receive $2 off with coupon provided upon admittance at the fair.
