In less than three weeks, Atlanta Motor Speedway will transform into a brilliant winter wonderland, as the Holiday Light Spectacular by Christmas Décor opens its doors to one of the largest drive-through holiday light exhibits in metro Atlanta.

Set to debut Friday, Nov. 27 and run through Dec. 30, Christmas Décor brings an all-new and enhanced yuletide experience to families and holiday revelers of all ages. Flying reindeer, dancing light tunnels and dozens of moving displays are just the start to the dazzling 2-mile drive-through journey that headlines the month-long Holiday Light Spectacular at the historic NASCAR speedway.

Santa's Village will be open each Thursday through Sunday during the Holiday Light Spectacular and daily from Dec. 17-30. There, kids can meet Mr. Claus himself and have a keepsake photo or video made with Santa. Also inside Santa's Village, visitors can squeeze in some holiday shopping with a great variety of locally owned businesses ready to help cross items off your list.

If the lights and Santa's village weren't enough, visitors to the Holiday Light Spectacular can kick their evening up a notch at the carnival, presented by Kissel Entertainment. Open nightly, the carnival will feature popular rides and prize-winning games. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $20. Carnival snacks, food provided by Tannery Row Ale House and hot cocoa and snow cones provided by Kona Ice will all be available at the carnival to satisfy cravings of all varieties.

New at the show in 2015, drive-in movie nights will help everyone from the young to the young at heart get into the spirit of the season. On Dec. 12, Christmastime favorite, Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," will be shown, while "The Polar Express" featuring Tom Hanks will light up the big screen on Dec. 19. The movies, presented by Strong Rock Christian School, will run continuously on the designated nights, and there is no extra charge to watch.

On Dec. 5, runners, joggers and walkers will replace cars in the first Holiday Light Spectacular 5K. Open to all ages, the light show will open its gates at 4 p.m. for a Christmas-themed race in which all participants will receive a t-shirt, a ticket into the light show, a digital photo with Santa and a free cup of hot cocoa. Prizes will be handed out to the first-place male and female finishers in each age division. Registration is open to any interested participant and can be completed online by clicking here. Following the race, the light show will reopen to vehicles.

Other promotional nights at the Holiday Light Spectacular include the ribbon-cutting grand opening on Friday, Nov. 27 when Children's Healthcare of Atlanta will be giving away Santa hats to the first 500 vehicles, Double Drive-Thru days every Monday, offering each vehicle two trips through the light show for the price of one, and the Great Clips ornament giveaway on Friday, Dec. 11 for the first 500 vehicles.

The Holiday Light Spectacular will be open every day from Friday, Nov. 27 to Wednesday, Dec. 30, with the exception of Christmas Day, when all features will be closed for the holiday. Show hours are 6-9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 6-10 p.m. on Thursdays through Saturdays. Additionally, the show will be open 6-10 p.m. each day from Dec. 17 through its final day on Dec. 30.

Prices are $20 per vehicle carrying up to six passengers when Santa's Village is open and $15 per vehicle carrying up to six passengers when Santa's Village is closed. Tickets may be purchased at the light show entrance, near the speedway's Gate 15, and accepted methods of payment include cash, debit card and credit card. Maximum vehicle height is 11."
