Visit the area's newest and most affordable drive-through Christmas light park when Atlanta Motor Speedway opens the inaugural Gift of Lights this Friday, Nov. 18.
The Gift of Lights will be a nightly drive-through event, with over one million LED lights in hundreds of displays along 1.5-miles for the public to enjoy. Each display will consist of all LED lights, making the Gift of Lights very eco-friendly. In fact, the total electricity use of the display is estimated to cost only $750.
There will also be a toy collection for Toys for Tots, as FOX 5 will sponsor a donation night on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Guests will receive $5 off admission (one per vehicle) with donation of a new toy for Toys for Tots.
Display hours will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Admission will be $15 per car, and the first 15,000 cars will receive a holiday gift bag with gifts and value coupons from sponsors. Admission for buses is $1 per person with a minimum of $20. Buses must be under an 11 foot clearance.
For families looking to enjoy lights as part of their holiday celebration, the Gift of Lights will be open Christmas Day Sunday, Dec. 25 and New Year's Day Sunday, Jan. 1.
Any fans looking to do some Christmas shopping can visit the AMS Gift Shop, located outside of turn four. The Gift Shop features apparel and collectables from the sport's top drivers, as well as AMS gear. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Gift Shop will feature extended hours for the Gift of Lights and will be open until 9:00 p.m. on Fridays and 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
