One of the more special times in racing comes each February, with the start of the season. There's a refreshed sense of optimism. Every team feels as if it can contend for a title. Most fans feel that their driver is poised for a great season. Here at Atlanta Motor Speedway, we're sharing that optimism.
Within the next few weeks, tickets officially go on sale for NASCAR night racing's return to Atlanta Motor Speedway! And this year, we're excited to add to the biggest Labor Day party in the USA with a Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night of race weekend, Sept. 2. Think about it – if you're here on Labor Day weekend, you get to see not two, but three nights of NASCAR night racing. There aren't many tracks that can make that claim, and we're proud to be one of them!
A number of fans tell us that the truck series puts on one of the most exciting brands of racing in NASCAR, so we're excited to not only host a truck series race in September, but have one under the lights!
Now, if you were here last year for our NASCAR night race weekend, you probably remember the great show put on by Foreigner at the pre-race concert. We're excited that we'll once again have a pre-race concert before Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. As for who it is – well you'll just have to stay tuned to find out! We'll be announcing our pre-race concert artist in early March, so be on the lookout for it!
Sure, it seems like September is a long way off right now. But it'll soon be summer, and we'll be making final preparations to give a first-class experience to all of our fans, sponsors and other guests joining us for the biggest Labor Day party in the USA!
