News & Notes For This Weekend's Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama presented by Classic Collectors Insurance & zMAX
There will be plethora of attractions for everyone this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway during Atlanta Motorama regardless of their age or how avid of an auto enthusiast that they are.
AJC Kids Zone
Entertainment will be available for the youngest Motorama visitors in the AJC Kid's Zone at the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama presented by Classic Collectors Insurance & zMAX Micro-lubricant. The Kid's Zone will be located near the Summit Racing Equipment Vendor Midway, which is in the area housing the NASCAR Nationwide Series garage during Labor Day Weekend.
Kid's Zone activities will include appearances by Atlanta Motor Speedway's mascot, Monkey Wrench, face painting, carnival games, a go-kart on display, inflatable activities and more.
An NHRA dragster as well as a Zamboni resurfacing machine will join the lineup of one-of-a-kind vehicles at Motorama that visitors will be able to get an up-close and personal view.
A show car of four-time NHRA Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson's Summit Racing Equipment dragster will be located at the Summit Racing Equipment display in the vendor midway. Also in the midway will be a Zamboni used by the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators in addition to the team's bus.
Joining more than a thousand car show entries at Motorama will be a personal vehicle of NASCAR President Mike Helton, a 1958 Ford Fairlane. The vehicle is regarded as the favorite Ford vehicle that is owned by Helton who is also a past president of Atlanta Motor Speedway.
A Chance To Win $1,000!
All Motorama spectators can enter to win a prize of $1,000 at the event. Information and entry will be located at the information tent near the NASCAR Nationwide Series garage.
Classic Car Auction
A rare look at the type of high-caliber vehicle auctions seen on TV will be featured as part of Motorama. Four Seasons Auction Gallery will be conducting one of the Southeast's largest collector car auctions. It will include more than 75 vehicles. The cars in the auction include a Richard Petty tribute car, a 1967 Dodge Coronet, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and a full-size Navigator RV.

Motorama will allow visitors to interact with celebrities through Q&A sessions during the event. Autograph sessions will also be held.
TV motorsports personality Rutledge Wood, co-host of Top Gear, will be at Motorama on Sunday. Wood will even have one of his own vehicles present, a restored 1949 step van. Wood will host a meet & greet at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Champion Windows Stage with an on-stage Q&A to follow. Wood will also hold an autograph session at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday in the Summit Racing Equipment Midway.
Miss zMAX, Christina Davidson, will host a meet and greet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday on the stage and will also have various appearances around the Speedway throughout the event as well.
Speedway Motorsports Inc. Chairman and NASCAR Hall of Fame nominee O. Bruton Smith is also tentatively scheduled for a meet & greet during Motorama.
Motorama spectator admission is $12 per day. Kids ages 6 through 11 will be admitted for $5, with kids 5 and under being admitted free.
