It seems as if it was only yesterday when Atlanta Motor Speedway celebrated its 50th year of racing with a weekend of night racing on Labor Day weekend culminated by the Emory Healthcare 500. Now, work is underway to begin another 50 years of great racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway! When it comes to putting on a great race weekend for our fans, it's a year-round task that everyone at the Speedway fully welcomes and is excited about.
Even before the checkered flag fell this past Labor Day weekend, the staff at Atlanta Motor Speedway had already begun the process of evaluating what went well and what we can do to improve the experience for our many fans when they come here next Labor Day weekend. It's our goal to give all of our fans a first-class experience when they are here with us at Atlanta Motor Speedway. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fans for giving us feedback following race weekend, as hearing from you helps us provide a better race weekend for you, the fans.
Although Labor Day 2011 seems to be a long way away, that doesn't mean we're not already getting ready for it, because that is exactly what is going on here at Atlanta Motor Speedway! To start with, next year will provide fans with even more NASCAR night racing with the addition of a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night, Sept. 2, in addition to the Nationwide Series night race on Sept. 3 and the Sunday night, Sept. 4 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Yes, you read that correctly – three NASCAR night race in a single weekend!
It's not uncommon to overhear brainstorming of ideas at the AMS corporate offices these days. Indeed, everyone working at the track is coming up with ideas to make the Labor Day NASCAR Night Race Weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway a can't-miss event if you are a race fan. From improvements in fan amenities, making the experience of watching a race better, targeting a performer for the pre-race concert and so much more, we are constantly at work at Atlanta Motor Speedway to put together a top-notch NASCAR weekend.
One example of our year-round efforts lies in our listing of fan-friendly hotels for race weekend. These hotels have agreed to offer reasonable rates for race fans and not require multiple-night stays during race weekend. Although it's only October, more than 25 have agreed to partner with Atlanta Motor Speedway to offer race fans affordable lodging rates for race weekend.
We'll also be announcing a public on-sale date soon, so be on the lookout for your chance to get your seats for night racing's return to AMS on Labor Day Weekend 2011!
Don't forget about our payments plans we have in place for your ticket purchases! A downpayment of just $20 reserves your seats, and this can be applied to camping spots as well. Simply call the AMS ticket office at 877-9-AMS-TIX for more information!
