Eric Norris, who has raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series, is among the list of entrants in the Thursday Thunder season opener on June 2 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Norris is the son of martial arts icon and renowned actor Chuck Norris. A native of Santa Monica, Calif., Eric Norris won the 2002 Winston West Series title. His truck series career includes a total of 19 races, one of which was at Atlanta Motor Speedway in October 2005. During that race, Norris was involved in a dramatic accident with Mike Bliss.

Norris will be competing in a Legends car during the week one opener at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The first week of Thursday Thunder will also include intermission performances by the Jersey Thunder Jet Car and the Great Moodini plus an all-division autograph session.

Featuring a full slate of short-track racing, Thursday Thunder is an affordably priced activity that offers something for spectators of all ages. Tickets are just $6 for adults and $2 for children 6-11 (ages 5 and under are free) for each evening of family fun and grass roots racing.
