In an effort to highlight free admission for children to the Sept. 4 Great Clips 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the track is giving children the opportunity to race against NASCAR Nationwide Series stars Justin Allgaier and Jason Leffler at Andretti Karting & Games in Roswell on Wed., July 28.
Twenty four children will be selected at random to race against the NASCAR Nationwide Series stars, preceded by a 30-minute autograph session with Allgaier and Leffler. All children in attendance will also receive free tickets to Atlanta Motor Speedway's Friday Night Drags.
Children and parents are encouraged to arrive by 1:00 p.m. for the 1:30 p.m. autograph session and to register for an opportunity to race against Allgaier and Leffler. The 24 randomly-selected drivers will be announced during the autograph session and racing will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Allgaier currently sits third in NASCAR Nationwide Series standings, with one win and 10 top-10 finishes in the 2010 season. Leffler, driver of the No. 38 Great Clips car, is 10th in the standings and has posted six top-10 finishes in 2010.
