NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers Carl Edwards and Kurt Busch completed today the second of a two-day tire test at Atlanta Motor Speedway for Goodyear tires.

Busch was fastest today with an unoffical best lap of 184.62 mph (30.03 seconds). Edwards' fastest lap was 183.45 mph (30.22 seconds).

With the new testing rules NASCAR has imposed this year, drivers covet the opportunity to gain extra time on the track.

"This was beneficial to our team because it gave us the chance to come out here to a track I love and knock the rust off," said defending Atlanta race winner, Carl Edwards. "It was nice just getting back in the car and gaining a little extra seat-time."
