American Commercial Lines to Sponsor NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race at Atlanta Motor Speedway
Monday, January 29 2007

Atlanta Motor Speedway officials announced today that American Commercial Lines, an industry leader in marine transportation and manufacturing, will sponsor the speedway's Friday night March 16 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

The race, which will be held during the March 16-18 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race weekend, will be officially known as the American Commercial Lines 200. Starting at approximately 9:00 p.m., the American Commercial Lines 200 will immediately follow Georgia Power NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series qualifying.

"The benchmark for American Commercial Lines' success in the maritime transportation business has been their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction," said Greg Walter, Atlanta Motor Speedway vice president of sales. "Like ACL, our commitment to customer satisfaction is a priority and our goal is to create a memorable experience for our fans. We are excited about the possibilities with ACL."

American Commercial Lines is one of the largest and most diversified marine transportation and manufacturing companies in the United States with more than 2,600 employees. The company has been operating on the United States Inland Waterways System since 1915.
