The July 5th Fireworks Sparktacular at the Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine at Atlanta Motor Speedway is only a week and a half away and points are becoming more critical for drivers competing for division championships as part of the Speedway's weekly summer drag racing series. In the fastest division at Friday Night Drags, the Super Pro division, Stockbridge's Bobby Daniel has held the upper-hand through the first three points events of the summer, winning twice in his red 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Mike Herring, has also picked up a win within Super Pro this summer in his black and yellow "Batmobile" car, a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Herring's car was damaged in final-round eliminations two races ago and the Conyers resident is expected to return to action very soon.

Absent from victory lane since the start of points racing in the Super Pro division has been Mark White and his 1967 Ford Shelby Mustang. But the former Friday Night Drags champion has been a factor in the semifinal and final rounds this season and will very likely have a say in the champion in the Super Pro division this summer.
