Autocross presented by AARP one of many returning attractions at Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama
Autocross competition Sponsored by AARP will once again be among the many highlights of the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama presented by Classic Collectors Insurance, zMAX and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on April 18-19 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
All show car entries at Motorama will receive free entry into autocross, and the weekend's top score will receive an award. Autocross is open to all participants during Motorama, from those who have taken part in autocross many times or those wanting to give it a try for the first time.
Autocross will take place in the Marcy Scott Media Center parking lot with finals taking place at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Registration is from 9-10 a.m. Saturday and 9-9:30 a.m. Sunday. The course will be open to cars on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Autocross competitors can access the track from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday with the final rounds taking place from 12:30-2 p.m. Cars are required to go through technical inspection prior to any track runs.
Admission to Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama is $12 per day. Kids ages 6 to 11 will be admitted for $5, and kids 5 and under will be admitted for free. Camping at the speedway is available during the event, and full hook-up and dry camping can be reserved for the weekend.
