Countdown is on for Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama
Approaching next month is the third edition of the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17. What has become "Georgia's Motoring Festival" and the largest automotive event of its kind in the Southeast, has already made a name for itself in both magnitude and variety.
Begun just two years ago as an already enormous motor-centric celebration of anything with an engine, the Atlanta Motorama boasts yet another year of growth, threatening to burst the boundaries of its Atlanta-Motor-Speedway-infield footprint.
"We said that last year's Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama will be bigger than the previous one, and 2016 is no different," said Ed Clark, Atlanta Motor Speedway president. "We've added even more exciting attractions to this year's show that will make the Atlanta Motorama a perfect and affordable family-friendly event."
The Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama, which descended on Atlanta Motor Speedway for the first time in 2014, is a massive celebration of all things with a motor. Attractions at the festival include the Pull-A-Part Swap Meet, a vehicle for sale corral, a massive vendor midway, the Million Dollar Salon, a show car garage, autocross competitions, live music, kids activities, celebrity appearances, racing and much more.
A fan-favorite returning to the Atlanta Motorama in 2016 is BIGFOOT®, "The Original Monster Truck®," with thunderous car-crushing exhibitions and displays at the show. Also returning in 2016 is the Motorama Bikefest, a "show within a show," showcasing some of the nation's best custom-built, vintage, competition, restored and special interest motorcycles, along with a one-of-a-kind biker build-off competition.
New to the Atlanta Motorama in 2016 is the high-flying freestyle motocross exhibition of Cowboy Kenny's Steel Rodeo in the Extreme Motorsports Park. Freestyle Motocross champion Kenny Bartram brings the action-packed aerial acrobatics of the Steel Rodeo with daily shows, free with admission to the Atlanta Motorama.
Also new in 2016, attendees will have the opportunity to get climb behind the wheel for some friendly racing competition. No Limits Go-Karting will be on hand for guests to race one another on a dedicated karting track.
With everything from the overloaded lineup of show cars from every decade in the past century, to pinstripers' showcases, live entertainment, a kids-friendly attractions and everything in between, the 2016 Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama is a mecca for all ages and all interests.
