Here are the top things to do at Motorama today
1. Not your ordinary car show!
In addition to more than 1,000 cars at Motorama, there'll be vehicles rarely seen the public. The only way to see them is to be at Atlanta Motor Speedway Sunday! The most valuable cars will be in the Speedway Salon with featured vehicles including a 1939 Packard Convertible Sedan, a 1932 Ford Vicky and a Duesenberg. Also nearby will be cars dating back to the 1920s from Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy's private collection as well as a restored version of the 1964 Plymouth that Richard Petty won the Daytona 500 with in the Petty's Garage display.
2. Car-crushing exhibition by BIGFOOT®
Get ready to see some cars get flattened! One of the world's most famous monster trucks will be putting on two demonstrations of destroying cars twice today! The exhibitions, presented by Summit Racing Equipment, are scheduled twice Sunday near turn three of the Speedway at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday. BIGFOOT® drivers will be available to interact with fans at various times during Motorama.
3. Massive Vendor Midway
The Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama midway will rival any collection of vendors seen at America's biggest car shows with nearly 200 vendors set to take part. Vendors will include Edelbrock, Holley Performance and Summit Racing Equipment.
4. Lawnmower Racing
These aren't your everyday landscaping machines! Racing among lawn mowers will take place multiple times near turn three of the Speedway as racers will reach speeds of around 55 to 70 mph. Exhibition races will be held Sunday at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
5. Classic Vehicle Auction
Here is your chance to see first-hand one of the high-caliber auctions seen on TV! Four Seasons Auction Gallery will be conducting one of the largest collector car auctions in the Southeast! More than 75 vehicles will be included in the auction and they may be viewed at www.fsagallery.com
6. Champion Windows Stage
Be sure to stop here throughout Motorama for live music, entertainment, celebrity appearances and more! Celebrity appearances will include Top Gear co-host Rutledge Wood at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
