Returning for the fifth-consecutive season, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will head to Atlanta Motor Speedway during the 2013 Labor Day weekend, as the speedway hosts the biggest Labor Day party in the USA.

The event will be the second-to-last event prior to the cutoff for the Chase for the Sprint Cup, meaning the battle on the 1.54-mile track will go a long way in determining the drivers that will contend for the championship.

“We are excited to once again host the biggest Labor Day party in the USA right here at Atlanta Motor Speedway,” said AMS president and general manager Ed Clark. “This year featured three days of action and exciting finishes in each of our races. We fully intend for our 2013 race weekend to be bigger than ever and we’re already hard at work adding activities for race weekend for the fans to take in.”

Other race weekend events and a full 2013 schedule for Atlanta Motor Speedway will be announced at a later date.
