U.S. Legends and Bandolero racing will once again heat up the quarter-mile "Thunder Ring" at Atlanta Motor Speedway this winter with the seven-event Winter Flurry Racing series. Prior to the racing season, competitors in the Speedway's short track program will get into the spirit with a Halloween Day non-points "Boo Bash" race on Oct. 31. Week 1 of Winter Flurry, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, will follow.

Saturday's Halloween Boo Bash is expected to draw drivers - and cars - decked out in their Halloween best. A judged costume contest among race teams will award first and second-place prizes to both the best-dressed Legends and Bandolero teams.

The complete 2015-16 Winter Flurry racing series schedule is as follows:

Week 1: Nov. 21, 2015
Week 2: Dec. 12, 2015
Week 3: Jan. 9, 2016
Week 4: Feb. 13, 2016
Week 5: March 19, 2016
Week 6: April 9, 2016
Week 7 April 30, 2016
The seven-race series will give drivers in Legends and Bandolero drivers the chance to compete for a championship trophy on one of the most challenging short tracks in the country and also presents the opportunity to develop their skills while building momentum prior to next summer's Thursday Thunder series.

Last year's Winter Flurry champions were Robbie Woodall of McDonough in the Masters Division, Jensen Jorgensen of Stockbridge in the Semi-Pro Division, Joshua Hicks of Senoia in the Outlaws Division and Clay Thompson of Powersville in the Bandits Division.

Infield admission is available for spectators wishing to watch the Halloween Boo Bash and Winter Flurry racing, and passes may be purchased at the Security Command Building near the Speedway's main entrance. Infield passes are $12 for adults, $5 for ages six through 11, and children ages five and younger are admitted for free.
