Drag racers took advantage of the final night of non-points competition to tune-up their vehicles and work out any last kinks during the fourth week of Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The competition proved fierce during the third installment of Atlanta Motor Speedway's seventh full season of Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine. In the 16 classes that drag-raced the evening of May 10, 13 competitors went to Victory Lane for the first time in the 2013 season.

Two weeks of Atlanta Motor Speedway's Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine have been recorded in the history books with a mix of new and old faces finding their way to victory lane thus far in 2013.The eighth-mile pit lane drag strip has offered a mix of racing conditions, with week two's racing taking place under cool and breezy conditions.

A strong breeze and cool temperatures greeted drag racers for the second week of competition in the 2013 installment of Atlanta Motor Speedway's Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine. A gathering of hearty drag race fans were treated to fast speeds on the eighth-mile pit lane drag strip.

The 2013 season launch of Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine at Atlanta Motor Speedway brought several new faces out to the eighth-mile pit lane drag strip. A few of the newcomers were able to unseat some of the experienced FND racers as the new concrete launch pad and starter light tree proved to be a challenge on opening night.

Legends and bandolero racers took full advantage of preparing for the upcoming 16th Thursday Thunder summer racing season at Atlanta Motor Speedway with an off-season INEX points race on Saturday, April 27 at the track's 1/4-mile "Thunder Ring." Drivers came into Saturday looking to gain momentum entering the summer. 

When the grass begins to grow, the temperatures warm and the azaleas begin to bloom, race fans know that it’s time for another season of Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine. Another year of action opens on Friday.

With new changes and upgrades to the racing surface and competition for 2013, Atlanta Motor Speedway will fire up its seventh full season of drag racing on the opening night of action, April 26. A total of 18 nights of racing will span from April through September.

Sunny, cold and windy conditions met racers on the quarter-mile “Thunder Ring” for the fifth event of the seven-week Winter Flurry racing season at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
