The 4th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama concluded this afternoon at Atlanta Motor Speedway, as Georgia'a 2017 Motoring Festival came to a close.

In just its fourth edition, the Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama, the massive celebration of anything with an engine, has grown into one of the largest festivals of its kind in the South. From hot rods to rat rods to motorcycles, to monster trucks, there is something for everybody - and then some - at the annual two-day event.

The 2017 show was bigger and better than each of its first three editions, as attendees were treated to more than 1,000 classic and collector cars, hundreds of vendors, the Pull-A-Part Swap Meet, Panasonic Automotive Autocross competitions, Hot Rodders of Tomorrow national qualifying events, the first-ever Atlanta Barbeque Classic benefiting Speedway Children's Charities and much more.

There were more than 200 awards handed out to car-show participants, from Classic Chevy, to Cool Custom and from Street Scraper to Vintage Trailer. In addition, thousands of dollars in cash and prizes was awarded to those who registered vehicles in the show.

After Effingham College and Career Academy out of Rincon, Georgia posted the fastest time in the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Competition on Saturday - a blazing time of 27:31 - Cumming, Georgia's Forsyth Central High bested them by tearing down and rebuilding an engine with a top qualifying time of 20:04, punching their ticket to the dual national championships later this fall.

Dates for the 5th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama, Georgia's premier motoring festival, are set for April 28-29, 2018.
